Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige unveils plans for another 20 films featuring obscure characters

Marvel Studios is having a bit of a moment right now, but boss Kevin Feige has no plans on slowing things down – if anything, things are only going to get bigger and better.

Following from the huge success of Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Infinity War, Feige has confirmed that Marvel will soon be entering a new space age. Literally.

“I love space stuff”, Kevin told ComicBook.com, revealing he prefers the kind of stories that lend themselves to an environment less earthly and more cosmic.

Kevin is so big a fan of all that “space stuff”, in fact, that he unveiled plans for another “20 films or so” across the upcoming decade. “I think it would be amazing,” he said.

Explaining Marvel’s plans for embracing the final frontier (so to speak), he said: “[We want] to surprise with the stories, go unexpected places, continue to play with new, fresh, unexpected genres”.

Hinting that the future of the MCU will be less about the likes of Spider-Man or Iron Man, Kevin continued: “[We may] introduce characters that people might have heard of or a beloved big fan base like Captain Marvel – or characters like Guardians where, before we made that, people had never even heard of.”

Chadwick Boseman, Chris Hemsworth, and Josh Brolin, producer Kevin Feige, and actors Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo and Tom Holland
